    Hi All,
I just like to confirm that I have the same problem like all the others: it doesn’t run under WIn2K SP4 at all.
I have seen in other threads that this might be related to WinAmp: I have just installed Win2k SP4 brand new – no WinAmp, no MusicMatch, no whatsoever “music software” (but Nero). I have also renamed the WNASPI.dll in the MP3STudio directory so it’s not being used.

I have bought this software some time ago but never really had the time to use it a lot – but I think it’s a great piece of software.

Zortam, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE solve that issue with Win2k SP3/4!!!
Just today I looked around again on the web and still believe it’s the best MP3 tag solution around – it just doesn’t work anymore on my PC (and many others)!

After detail reserch we have found that this error is in connection with the hardware.
We have tested several computers with Windows2000 Server and with windows2000 Professional and
with Sp3 and SP4 but we couldn’t get the error that you have noticed.
So it looks that this type of error apears on low perctange of computers that are running windows 2000.

So please, you guys that have problem please send us to support@zortam.com your hardware configuration and we will keep trying to resolve that problem.

    I think this is correct.

I had this same problem with this software. If winamp is open, and you try to restart the software it will crap out. Close winamp and then open the software. It should work. Then you can reopen winamp, and resume your life.

Not sure why this is, but that is a good work around.

I have problems with it too: W2000 SP4.
It works for some time but when i browse a directory for a minute or two, windows closes it down with “mp3mediastudio has generated errors and will be shut down”.
However this particular directory has cca. 9000 files (39 GB) in it.

I suggest we post our specs, maybe there’s something in common?

    W2000 SP4
    mp3medastudio 3.0 trial
    DFI KT400A Infinity & Athlon 2700
    Kingmax DDR333 2×256MB
    Terratec Sixpack 5.1 soundcard
    Radeon 9000 VIVO
2 disks attached to HP RAID controller, CD&DVD on sec. onboard channel.

    The rest shouldn’t really matter.

Super stable system, never crashes anything, latest BIOS & drivers.

    Hi

I have tested the demo SW on two computers with win2k/SP4. One is an Intel platform and works fine. My target computer though is based on the MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR with an Athlon XP3000/400. On this one the SW does not start at all. As of today MP3 MediaStudio would be my first choice – if it would run !

Well, mine WAS working, but when I came in this morning, it’s now giving me the gpf. It had been working for a few weeks before now, so I don’ t think it’s hardware related.

You know very well that it is not a hardware problem.
Why don’t you honestly admit that you are not able to solve this problem or otherwise – your program is not compatible with W2K Service pack’s 3 and 4

I wouldn’t go that far. As my message did say, I WAS able to use it for like a week after the initial installation. However, after the week had passed, I was unable to get it to work.

What we know that we tried everything to get program in gpf state with service pack 3 and 4 but we couldn’t break the program. So it must be some wird bug because we couldn’t break a program. Any help is wellcome.

    Dear Zortam-Team (and other)…

I think i found the bug. i made several tests and today, I made a great discovery.
after reboot, MP3 Media Studio always worked. then I tried to start some applications and always tested MP3 Studio.
after I started WINAMP 2.91, MP3 media studio crash at startup !
if I close winamp, MP3 media studio starts normally.

pleasy pleasy fix this bug :)

    greetings
    marcel from switzerland
